Exxia stretched her long dark wings to glide in the warm current. The morning sun absorbed into her black coat, highlighting the scars running along her sides and legs. She enjoyed her new freedom away from people and war. She closed her eyes and folded her wings, free falling to the ground. She opened her eyes slowly and calmly watched the ground rush up to meet her. At the very last second she unfurled her wings and swooped about a foot from the ground. Her hooves dragged in the water as she coasted over the pond at the bottom of the falls. She hadn't seen many equine here yet, but she hoped to meet one soon.

Eagle stretched out her wings as she took to the air. Warm updrafts lifted her higher and higher. The sun warmed her body. White fur and feathers fell off lazily. Her coat was changing so fast. She often wondered what she would turn out to look like. Most of her coat was brown now, and white feathers with black tips now grew at the end of her wings. She gazed around and spotted a swift black shape plummet to the ground. She raised her wings high over head, in an arch, ready to dive down and save the creature. But the black shape suddenly threw out wings and soared close to the ground. Eagle could now see it was another equine, definitely larger and older then her. She swung around in a tight circle and decided to go see if they were friendly.

Elsa swooped through the forest thicket. Her wings pulled her swiftly. The trees and shrubbery would have made it nearly impossible for another pegasus to fly so low but the simply made passage for Elsa. She could see that the forest was thinning for an an opening ahead of her. Elsa slowed and dropped the few feet to the ground to trot to the opening, her winds tight to her sides. The brown and white mare stepped into the opening which showed a waterfall and its river, as well as a darkly colored horse that seemed to float above the water. Elsa stopped and watched the horse before noticing another horse heading in her direction far above her. Her ears stood on high alert.

Exxia scented the air and froze. Other equine now surrounded her. One from the air, one behind her, on land. She swung upwards, better at aerial attacks. She caught a nice updraft and gained some height. She then turned around and faced her on comers, he ear pinned back in defense. She was hard wired for battle, since she was used for war. Approaching her in surprise was impossible. She felt her power rise up and take strength, the heat coursing through her veins and tense muscles.

Eagle saw the black equine quick turn onto a defensive mode. Eagle's breath caught in her throat as she saw the huge scar running along the horse's side. "Oh on, she was a war horse! This is not good, i wouldn't be able to fight her and live." Eagle angled her feathered wings so she swooped down to the ground. She squeal as she came closer, almost landing on yet another equine. She thrashed her legs and wings and was sent spiraling sideways, crashing to the ground.

At first Elsa was fixated on the black horse who had suddenly become on edge and in an attack mode. Elsa rocked back on her heels only to find she was nearly part of the other equine's landing plan. She squeeled and skittered to the side. Her thick wings flared out as she trotted a short distance from the other horse. She stood so that her eyes could see both horses. Was this an attack strategy? Her nostrils flared and she snorted.

Exxia was amazed as she saw the one basically crash into the other equine." Was this an attack or an accident?" She wondered. She raised her wings high and did a huge power stroke that took her to the edge to the pond. She landed carefully and snorted. "Who are you?" Her hot power still coursed around, ready for any signs of attack or threat.

Eagle laid dazed on the ground for a moment. She coughed and shuddered, suddenly realizing where she was. She jumped up and threw out her wings in surrender. "I mean you no harm!!" She blurted out as she bent down in a submissive bow.

Elsa watched the black mare sweep to the ground. She could practically feel heat blast from the mare. Elsa looked at the two-toned horse who was humbling herself to the black mare. This made Elsa less on edge because she felt no threat from the younger mare. Elsa stood taller and looked forward to the black. "I am Elsa," she purred, "And who are you?"

Exxia snorted as the younger one bowed in submission. She let her power cool off and die away and flicked her ears at Else. "I am Exxia Of The Night. But please call me Exxia." She looked at the sorry excuse of an equine. "And who are you?' She growled slightly, not very please that such a clumsy Pegasus was in her sight. "She would never make it long in war." Exxia thought, her eyes narrowing.

Eagle stood up quickly, her words coming out in gasps. "I am Divine Eagle!!! But you can call me Eagle." She was still shaking a bit. Exxia still made her terrified. the dark equine was well, dark and powerful. she could feel Exxia's hot power before. it was harsh, unlike Eagle's own soft light power.

Elsa looked between Exxia and Eagle. Pitty seeped into her as she saw how Exxia made the younger mare nervous. Elsa fluttered her wings as she thought of a way to get the black to stop glaring at Eagle. She moved closer to the youngling. "So what brings the two of you here," she asked

Exxia took her hot stare away."Finding a place to stay." She looked at the two again. "But they never leave me alone." She laid her ears back, her eyes full of grief.

Eagle looked at the poor mare. "The humans right? i can tell your a war horse." She took a step forward, but Exxia flung up her head and backed up a few steps. Eagle could tell she was really uneasy to trust anyone right now. "I am here since I have no where else to go." She sighed.

Elsa looked at the grief written on Exxia's face. A war horse. She had never met one and had no idea what they were like. Elsa then turned her nose to Eagle, who seemed lonely. Were they all lonely? Elsa shuffled her dainty feet. "I am here just as a passer by," she said. She wondered how truly uneasy the other two were.

Exxia raised her head. "I assume you guys have powers." She looked at the half grown mare and Elsa.She stretched her wings and tucked them back beside her, wondering how powerful these guys were.

Eagle nodded. "Ya, i do. I am a light wielder." Just to prove it, she collected the light around her and formed it into a rolling sphere. Energy built up and it glowed fiercely and hot. she struck it at the pond, water exploding around it and steam bursting as the hot light hit the cool water.

Elsa watched as the little mare showed the might of her power. She could feel the water vapors flow past her and through her. "That was nice," she said nodding, "I can transcend through objects." She would have showed them if they had been in the acrual forestry area. Instead, she looked intently to the black mare to see her power.

Exxia nodded. "That's a good power to have." She looked at the mare, but the equine didn't seem to want to show off her power. They were both looking a Exxia; she knew that they were waiting for her now. She loved her power, so she put on a smirk and let it build up inside of her. She turned her eyes to a tree behind them and concentrated on it's shape, letting the heat leave her. Once she got the whole tree surrounded, she urged her power on. The tree burst into flames, lightly up the day even more. it crackled and hissed as the flames grew and became stronger. Exxia blinked and sent it away. A swoosh sound was heard as the flames just disappeared into thin air.

Eagle was excited to see Exxia's power, but also a bit scared. War horses usually had powers that could be used for both defense and offense strongly. Exxia's eyes drifted passed them and eagle wondered if she was going to even show them. A smirk was drawn over her face though. A ripple of heat went through the air so quick, Eagle wasn't even sure she had felt it. All of a sudden the tree behind her burst into flames and grew stronger by the second. Eagle jumped in fear, uneasiness spreading over her again. Exxia's power was strong and deadly. With wide eyes as the fire disappeared, eagle found her voice. "You a fire wielder!" Eagle was amazed more then she was afraid. She had heard of the fire wielders, just never thought she would meet one.

Exxia nodded in appreciation. "I still have to fine tune it, and also make it stronger, but I'm glad I was born with it." She swished her tail and sniffed the air. No one was near still. She would never get off high alert after being in war, because in war, there were threats everywhere, but you just didn't know what or who. "So, what's your histories?" she pondered after a few moments of silence.

Eagle nodded in amazement. "You power truly is awesome. i wish I had it." Though Eagle loved her power of light, she often wondered what stronger powers would be like to have. She also had this weird power of her whole coat changing, slowly, but surely. Her ears flicked forward as Exxia's question was heard. "I don't have much of a history, since I'm so young. Really my parents were killed off and i was left to fend for myself." She stated, her tone slightly sad, but she truly wasn't upset. her life has been good so far.

Elsa looked at the younger mare as she explained a brief bit of history. Sadness seemed to float in the air. Elsa wished that she could allow emotions free pass like everything else. I am sorry to hear that, she consoled the adolescant filly. She sighed softly, ready to tell her story. My story is not very entertaining. I was the runt in the large family. Made for a life of my own maybe a summer ago. I have been alone since. She looked at the others, hoping to not be judged, or abandoned.

Exxia nodded approvingly."Mine is a bit like yours. The fact that i made my own life that is." She paused, words drifting through her head as she figured out how to word her story. "Mine is a relatively long story... but I'll cut it short for now." She took a deep breath, many emotions - anger, sadness, depression - coursing through her. "I was born and raised for war alone. My mother, father, brother, all taken away from me, I have few memories of them. All I know is that I was very close with my brother, they took as away from our mother a week after we were born so we would be strong and not be connected with any other horses. That's also when i got separated from my brother. I'm pretty sure his name was Xavier." She swallowed down the lump in her throat. " I was bottle fed with nasty milk, cows' I think, and basically put through tests to find out my power. Later I was into combat training at age one. They taught me to show no mercy, to never show weakness, to never give up unless told to. I was the strongest of my age, the most powerful one. At age two I was out in the battlefield, my rider the only one I could trust.War, blood, murder, and fear raged around me all the time. I have killed many and not proud of it. My last stance on the field was when I got this," She swept her wing away to show her thick and long scar running along her side. "When a sword finally struck me for the first time. We were really high up and we fell, my rider dead when we hit the ground. I was tended to well and they ended up saving my life but this injury was enough to push me mad. I went crazy and killed every single human at that camp site. Of course then i got away into the wild, free from all the burdens and madness. They now fear me, call me the black demon, but at least I know they won't come for me." She finished with a slight edge of pride in her voice.

Eagle was speechless. Exxia's history was dreadful. Horrible images of what war was like ran through her mind. She never knew that war was this awful. She looked at Exxia then Elsa, not knowing what to say. Her life seemed so mild compared.

(Just noticed this but...all of the horses hav names that start with e ....lol)

Elsa was patient and silent as Exxia told her tale. A chill overtook her for the second time as the large mare told of war. She looked at Eagle. She held the younglings gaze for a moment. She then returned her gaze to Exxia. I, she paused, That is quite the story. I am sorry you lived through it. She backed a step.

Exxia nodded, letting her emotions be shield again. "But it's over and done with no. I'm just going keep on living what life brings me."

Eagle saw the black mare bring up her walls again. It was going to be hard to break those walls down and bond with this mare, but Eagle was determined to try. "So we all have no one we belong with and no where to go." She stated.
