Storm walked slowly around his new territory for the second time excited. He has finally brout his family to a safe place, a place for them to enjoy the rest of their lives.

Song lay beside rain motionless watching her foal sleep quietly. This place was her new home nothing to worry about anymore. Hopefully. She laid her head back down on rain's side breathing in a quick breath of the new fresh air

Nitika moved to the smell of water in the lake. She could smell other horses on the land, but her thirst over-ruled the fear to stay away. Her body was tense and she could not wait to swallow the replenishing taste of the water. She licked her lips. Nitika stopped when she came upon a cream colored mare and foal. Nitika cleared her throat to announce that she was near.

Rain and Song lay quietly for a while. From behind them they heard something. Song quickly gathered herself and jumped up off the ground making her way in front of Rain. "May I help you"She asked the horse mare abruptly. Rain got up quietly and stood behind her mother.

Storm off in the meadow a little ways from Song and Rain quickly smelt a new horse scent. Looking around curiously he trotted back up to his mare and foal. Once he had made it up to them he started walking instead of trotting. He walked to Song and stood beside her watching the new mare.

Nitika tensed at the mare's abruptness. She became completely stiff when a stallion entered the scene and stood near the mare and foal. She was not expecting the threat of a male. "I am sorry," she spoke softly in an attempt to appear nonthreatening, "I do not mean to disturb you. It is just that I can smell water nearby." She glanced between them in a question of the water.

Flame was racing across the open plains, his mane and tail whipping around in the wind. His head was high as he thundered over the dry ground. He looked to his right and saw a lake. Thankfulness swept over his face along with his dry mouth. He turned and slowed to a canter. He reached the cold water and took large gulps.

Storm nodded to the mare "Tis ok..Song is touchy when it comes to strange horses especially with Rain around."
Song relaxed as Storm stood beside her. She let out a small sigh "I am quite sorry dear, not quite settled in"She laughed to herself and turned to see Rain trembling. Rain dear its ok."
Rain lowered her head still trembling then she looked up to the new mare. "Hello, I am Rainette, or Rain for short"

Flame flicked his ears and his head shot up. His eyes scanned the area till he came upon the horses. He let out a startled neigh.

Storm twirled around quickly as he heard a neigh from the distance. "Stay here" He quickly gathered himself and galloped towards the neigh.

Nitika watched Storm galloped off before she adressed Rain. She lowered her head and said, "It is nice to meet you, Rain." She lifted her head so that she would be adressing Rain and Song. "My name is Nitika," she said.

Flame's ears pricked forward as he saw the on coming stallion. He snort and stood full height, ready to encounter the horses. His tail whisked out behind him like a fire, his forelock blowing over his right eye.

Song smiled to Nitika. "Nice to meet you"

Storm came to a stop in front of the stallion "What brings you to these lands" He watched the stallion intently ready for anything the horse might try to do. He stood his ground waiting for his reply.

His eyes gazed at the stallion, showing no emotion. He blinked. "I'm traveling through." He said in an emotional voice. He must show no emotions. That is what he learned from his dad. "If anything is shown, it is either a sign of a threat or weakness." He remained firm in his stance, holding the other stallion's gaze. "Is that not allowed?" Not even question flickered through his onyx eyes. He looked behind that stallion at the other mares and foal. His attention came back to the stallion. "I am Touching The Sun, but others call me Flame." Still no emotion.

Storm eyed the stallion. "I am Storm Cat they call me Storm, and as long as you cause no problems you can pass through" He stood tall making himself seem bigger than he really was.

Flame stood quietly. He looked at the small herd again. [b]"Are those your mares?' No threat, question or any emotion passed through his eyes still.

Storm looked back to the mares."Only the palomino mare and the foal is mine, the other is our guest." He looked back to Flame. Might I ask why you wanted to know?"

Flame nodded. "That... good." He breathed in. "Just started?" He looked at him hopefully with a trusting look, first sign of emotion."I could help out if you would let me join. I know of a mare that will probably split off her herd to go with me." He sighed. "I'm not much the fighting type, I need to join a herd and eventually earn my place."

Storm let out a small happy sigh. "Well me and the others have been a small herd for a long time, we could really use another horse to help me keep an eye on the land..."

Nitika smiled to the mare. "It is nice to meet you as well," her eyes twinkled. She looked over to where Storm spoke to the stranger.

Flame nodded. "I would love to help you guys out. I just have to go search for Puppet and come back as quick as I can."

Storm nodded slowly. "That is fine. Take all the time you need. I'm sure the others will be happy to have you also Flame."
