After traveling for weeks at a time King and his sister Dancer had finally come across a nice place to stay, it was small and quiet but yet someone cozy. It was getting late and Dancer had already fallen asleep, tired out from all the traveling.

King walked over to a soft patch of dirt and then slowly lowered bent his front legs underneath him, followed by his back, he rolled in the dirt then laid there for a bit, he had not planed on falling asleep anytime soon until he was sure there were no predators lurking nearby.

Dancer woke up early the next morning before the sun had even peeked up over the ridge of the Ravine, she stood up and shook off her lovely Red Roan coat, she saw that King had been sleeping so she slowly crept by him, trying not to wake him, she fun a little brush to munch on before exploring any further, she soon felt like burning some energy and took off in a dead gallop.

King got up started by the echoing sound of galloping hoofs, the sun had just reached up over the edge of the Ravine giving little daylight, he looked around then seeing that Dancer was no longer there became worried. "Dancer!" he shouted before taking off, his long black mane and tail flowing in the wind.

Gomda, a pale grey stallion, stood at the top of the large ravine. The sun had barely touched the far horizon. Gomda looked down into the wide crevice of the ravine and could see a horse galloping after the dust of another horse. Gomda walked to the steep path he had found the night before and started down it. It took him five minutes to reach the bottom of the ravine and the horses were long gone. A bit of sadness flowed over Gomda. He sniffed the ground around him and the places were the horses had slept. He could smell that one was a mare and the other was a stallion. He lifted his head and looked in the direction they had run, hoping that they would come back.

"Dancer!" King said in a harsh tone after catching up with his sister. "You know not to run away like that... I thought that you would have learned better by now... there could be some nasty stallions out there, not to mention other predators."

"Okay, okay... I just felt like going for a run... how about I race you back?" Dancer said in a playful tone then nipped and tugged at her brothers mane.

King rolled his eyes, he had mostly grown out of the playful attitude and had become a lot more serious. "Fine... but remember to never pull a stunt like that again." King said before starting at a slow gallop toward the place where they had stayed the night.

Dancer had long legs for her size but considering King was much bigger she struggled to keep up with him. In no more then 7 minutes they had reached the place where they had came from.

King slid to a stop, startled to see that there was another horse there, and obviously a stallion by the way he smelled. "Stay back Dancer." He said then stepped forward defensively, being protective of his sister.

Dancer refused her brothers orders and pranced up to the stallion playfully, "Hi, I'm Dancer... what's your name?" She said as she stopped, standing to where there muzzles where only a few inches apart.

Dragon thundered down the hill, his long tail streaming out behind it. He arched his neck and bunched his legs, leaping over a wide stream that was in his way. He continued on, but then saw a beautiful mare trotting up to a stallion. He skited to a halt and let out a loud greeting. He saw another stallion following the mare angrily. Dragon snorted and took off again in to direction of the horses. He tossed his head up high and held his tail up. His mane floated down his thick neck, the white and black seeming to blend together nicely.

King's head shot up when he heard the galloping hoof, after giving Dancer a nip in the butt she finally reluctantly stood back behind King. "Look you don't know these stallions, they could be dangerous." King whispered to her before turning to face the stallion who had been galloping toward them.

Dancer finally became bored with standing in the back away from everyone so she silently wondered away from the group.

Dragon stopped in front of the stallion and his eyes drifted towards the moving figure of the mare. He looked back at the strawberry roan and nicker. "Greetings, I'm am dragon Wings, just call me Dragon." He said proudly.

King snorted, obviously still not happy about Dancer running off earlier. "My name is King Of The Wind, but call me King." He said as he looked the stallion from hoof to head.

Once Dancer was out of earshot she picked up a slow trot so that no one would notice her, she wanted to explore and if it meant putting herself in danger she didn't car.

Dancer soon found a path that led up to the top of the Ravine, she took off at a long flowing galloped as she collected her back end under her and sprung up the steep path.

Dragon nodded and he watched Dancer out of the corner of his eye. "Well, bye." He said as he noticed Dancer wasn't there. he scented the air and started to gallop away from the other stallions.

King was to lost in thought that he hadn't noticed that Dancer disappeared he then spoke up to the grey stallion that still stood there. "So, I don't think I quite caught your name." King said trying to be polite, hopefully this stallion hadn't come to fight or get to his sister.

Dancer reached the top and happily pranced in circles playfully on the flat ground, she found a nice soft patch of dirt and rolled, the sun had now fully come out and made her coat sparkle.

She laid there still, as she listened to the sounds around her, she extended one of her front legs then scratched her nose on it before tucking it back underneath her, "I don't need King to protect me anymore... I'm three years old already." she said thinking out loud to herself.

After lying there for awhile she began to become bored as nothing seemed to happen.

Gomda had been quiet as the other stallions had spoken to each other and now that he had been addressed, he felt intimidated. "My name is Gomda," his voice did not betray his slight fear that the stallion may attack. He internally chewed himself out for not having an escape route if the other horses did come back, and they had. He quickly thought of a way to remain at peace with King. "I was just curious as to who you and the mare were," he said in a calm voice, "I hope you do not refute me for that." He stepped back to show that he felt as though King was the superior.

King sighed a sigh of relief to know that this stallion was of no harm to him and his sister. "My name is King, and my sister..." His voice trailed off as he looked behind himself. "Oh great where did she go this time!" he said in frustration. "I am sorry, I don't think I have the time to properly introduce myself at the moment, I need to make sure Dancer is okay." He snorted and turned to go find the young mare.


Dancer finally got up, shaking the dust from her coat and took off at a nice slow canter as she took in the sight of the land around her.

Gomda tilted his head at King as he turned. How had he lost his sister twice in one day? Gomda decided that maybe it would be beneficial to help the stallion find the mare. He followed King, keeping a distance so that King would not fell threatened. His thick mane bounced on his shoulders and neck.

Dancer watched the two stallions from above, but King had not noticed her. "Great, my exploring is over..." she sighed but then turned around and began to gallop further away.

King stopped suddenly and looked up above at the top of the Ravine just in time to see a chestnut colored tail flow out behind a horse... but not just A horse... it was obviously Dancer... King picked up a steady gallop he had to move quick in any hope of catching her.

Dragon was already thundering up the hill. he flicked his ears back and heard another horse following. he snorted and tried to charge faster. He reach the top and called ou to the chestnut mare. "hello There beautiful!" he whinnied.

Dancer stopped suddenly, that obviously wasn't her brother. "Uh... Hi." she said with a snort and a toss of her head.

King sped up the hill, he glanced around, he hadn't seen Dancer close by, just that one stallion off in the distance, so her turned to opposite way Dragon was headed to continue looking for his sister.

Dragon swallowed and moved closer. "I am Dragon Wings, but you can call me Dragon." He nickered with a dip of his head. He turned around in front of her so he could face the mare. "Who was that you were with? He seemed a little negative."

"That was just my brother king... he is a little protective, hes been looking out for me since I was a foal..." she mumbled, she hadn't liked that her brother was so protective.

Dancer looked the handsome stallion over, she trotted around him in a circle then stopped to face him again. "So what brings you here?" she said with a small smirk and a toss of her chestnut mane.

Dragon smirked and swished his tail. "I noticed you as I was just walking alone." He looked at Dancer. Her coat gleamed a bit. He did a small rear and flicked his ears to the direction of King.

King stopped and sniffed the air, finally the wind drifted just right for him to catch the scent of her, he immediately began to jog in her direction.

Dancer looked Dragon over once more, she then heard hoofs coming her way and rolled her eyes. "Looks like my fun is over..." she said with a annoyed toss of her head as she pinned her ears back.

King glared at Dancer when he approached her, he saw the stallion and his ears went back in warning.

Dragon whipped around. he used his body in a sort of protection in front of Dancer. When he saw King he laid his ears back but moved out of the way. he glared at him, his muscles rippling.
