Annaleigh Whisner and Lynette Carson sat at a table in the little cafe. Their table was next to one of the large windows. Drops of rain rolled down the pane as the skies released it's pent up tears. Each of the girls held a mug of coffee in their hands. Anna wore a purple cardigan and tan pants. A small turqouise pendant hung from her silver chain that wrapped around her neck. Lyn wore a black sheer blouse over a black camisole. She had black slacks on. They chatted softly to each other about their horses and about things in the community.
"My grey, Buttons, has been doing really well on the cross-country course I have been working on with him," Lyn said as she ran her fingers through her dark hair.
Anna nodded. "That is good," she said, "My newest stallion has been doing well on the jumps. He is a bit of a handful though." A smile creased her lips. She took a drink of coffee.
Both girls turned to look when the bells on the door jingled, announcing the arrival of someone.

Jake walked into the Cafe.He saw two girls sitting at a table.He walked over to a nearby table and asked the waitress for some coffee.He normally didn't drink coffee but on days like this he did.He watched as the rain poured outside.He sighed in a few minutes he would have to go to the stables and get his stallion Dark Blade in his new stall but for now he sat in the quietness of the Cafe.

Anna looked at the young man who sat not far away. She took in his appearance, dark hair and eyes, his lean structure. Anna looked at Lyn with a questioning gaze. Lyn just shrugged. Then Lyn turned in her seat and looked at the man. She took a drink of her coffee. "Hey," she said, "Are you new here?"

Jake looked at the two girls."Yeah."He took a sip from his cup of coffee.He then looked back out the window at the pouring rain.He didn't talk much because he did not know anybody here so he kept quiet.He began to plan what he would work on with Blade when Blade got settled into his new home.First I will train Blade some more then, I will practice either english or western.He thought to himself.

Lyn waited for the guy to tell them his name. She choked out a laugh and stood up from the table. She sat down across from the stranger with her coffee in tow. She smiled charismatically to him. "My name is Lynette. My friend here is Annaleigh," she gestured to Anna, who sat with a look of disbelief at the other table, "What is your name?" Her blue eyes, which appeared gray on days like this, skimmed over the man.

Anna took a drink of her coffee in a bout of akwardness. She looked into the dark liquid when she placed the cup on the table. She wondered how Lyn could be so brave with people. Her eyes slipped to gaze on the man.

Jamie strode into the coffee shop. She pulled down her hood of her yellow rain jacket and sat down. She took of the coat and order a medium coffee with two creams an a toasted bagel. She tapped her fingers on the table while waiting and noticed the man and two girls. She looked away, not wanting to be rude and stare. She took out a pen and a piece of paper. She was drawing her horse, Senza and her jumping over a 3 foot high by 4 feet long jump. She was a good drawer, taking art summer school instead of riding lessons for her dad's acceptance.

Trevor looked around the coffee shop, there was a guy and two girls over in one corner but he noticed another girl who sat alone and appeared as if she was drawing, he casually walked over to her and peered over her shoulder, "You're good." he said with a smile, and attempting not to startle her.

Jamie jumped slightly and turned around. "Oh, ya.." She smiled back being slightly shy she didn't make total eye contact. "I took art school since I was 5." The waitress came and gave her her order. She moved on the booth and patted the seat. "You can sit down if you like." She said her shyness still there but her flirty side coming through.

Trevor smiled back, "Cool." sat down next to Jamie and then smiled again. "I'm Trevor." he spoke casually trying to act 'cool'.

Jamie smiled again and flipped her hair in front of her shoulders. "I'm Jamie." She said back and smirked slightly as she realized he was trying to act coo. She moved a bit closer. "What do you do?' Her pale blue eyes gazing at him, but still, not total eye contact.

Trevor studied her appearance, searching her face with his hazel eyes. He smiled once again. "My horse and I do racing but I am currently trying to teach him to jump..." he said, still trying to keep his voice calm and cool.

Jake looked at Lynette."My name is Jake.Nice to meet you."He watched as two more people entered the Cafe.

Jamie nodded batting her eyelashes. " Senza and I do jumping. I just bought him recently and moved here." She cast a glance at the other people.

Trevor nodded. "That's cool..." he said then 'yawned' stretching his arm out and resting it down on the back of the booth behind Jamie. "I was also thinking about trying cross country sometime too..." he said and smiled before looking to the others he had noticed again.

Jamie nodded. "That's pretty cool. Maybe we could try it out together sometime?' She asked and leaned more into him, casting another glance at the other people. She took a sip of her coffee. It burned her lips and she cried out a bit jerking her head back and spilling coffee on them. "OhMyGosh. I am so sorry." She scrambled for napkins and began dabbing the coffee up.

Trevor let a small laugh escape his mouth. "No worries." he got up and went and got a damp rag from a waitress he wiped off his jeans then walked back over to Jamie, handing it to her while he soaked up more coffee from the table with some napkins.

Jamie blushed as their hands touch when she grabbed the cloth. "Why do i always make a fool on myself. Always to some random guy I tend to have a crush on." She finished cleaning up and sighed, taking a sip of teh cooled down coffee. She plopped down on the booth again and dragged her fingers through her hair. She started to laugh, her face going a bit red from embarrassment. She coughed and swallowed waiting for Trevor to sit down again.

Lyn smiled at Jake. "Nice to meet you too, Jake,"she said, almost cooing. Her eyes looked over to the new comers. She had barely seen the girl spill her beverage on the two of them. Lyn quickly looked back to Jake, her face blank of expression. "Do you ride," she asked.

Anna had been watching the pair on the other side of the cafe since the two had sat together. She let out a tiny gasp as the girl spilled coffee on herself and the guy. She squirmed in her seat with a desire to help but also feeling it would be inappropriate.

Jamie became calm and saw one of the girls looking at her. She looked down and took a bit of her bagel. "Are you new here too?" She asked Trevor. "I'm guessing that because you aren't sitting with them, or probably don't even know them like me."

Fairly new... yes... I have only met a few of the others... one of them being... Amy I think was her name." he smiled as he sat back down next to Jamie, his eyes drifted to the others again, he felt like getting up and going to say hi but thought it might have been a little awkward for him to do so.
